Abstract
FuckUp Night Jakarta (FUN Jakarta) is a licensed event purchased by Impact Hub Jakarta. FUN Jakarta is a seminar event that promotes failure stories of the speakers. Project improvement research objective is to create a recommendation of effective promotion system with conceptual model, using soft system methodology. This model is expected to fulfil quantity target of every FUN Jakarta. Base theory for this research can be classified into three parts, which is soft system methodology, promotional theories, and general event theories. During research, there were seven findings of problematic situation. One of the problems is event promotion. Symptoms of the problem is due to unfulfilled visitor target and keep on declining from February 2019 to April 2019. Visitor and speaker opine that the symptoms appear due to lack of promotion from the organizer of FUN Jakarta. Root definition created from this problem is do a system to increase FUN Jakarta’s visitor executed by the Project Manager, by implementing effective marketing promotion, to fulfil the targeted visitor. From the root definition, it is recommended a conceptual model based on three parts, which consist of identification part, tactical part, and execution and evaluation part.
