Abstract
The World Health Organization (WHO) states that the longer the patient is in the hospital, the higher the probability of him getting an infection. Therefore, patients should not linger long in the hospital. But in fact, from our observations to several hospitals, one of them is Fatmawati General Hospital, describing the opposite situation. The issue that can be raised from problems at this hospital is the problem of queues that accumulate causing patients to have to wait a long time at the hospital. A new issue arose in early 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic, which resulted in increased concern for patients seeking treatment at the hospital. This has an impact on declining hospital visits. Some hospitals have implemented online queuing systems, such as WhatsApp registration implemented by the Mother and Child Hospital. And some patients still have to wait according to the time of arrival and open queue number time at the estimated time given by the hospital. So the patient does not know the certainty of the estimated waiting time. Patients are also confronted with queues in hospitals that are not comfortable. Meanwhile, according to Amel et al., the Account Manager of PT BSI Sekuritas, online queuing systems experienced by the International Hospital Yogyakarta Hospital in Semarang is that the software and administration system do not work well integrated. After observing several hospitals such as Harapan Hospital, dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo, Telogorejo Hospital, Siloam Hospital, PKI Hospital, Fatmawati Hospital, and Eka Hospital have no integrated digital queue system information in real time. Based on interviews with several hospitals, we got confirmation that the hospital needed a queue problem solution to be digitized so that it did not add the workload of medical personnel or the number of manpower to overcome the problem. While based on the data, states that the number of admitted surgery have a gap, when supply is lower than demand, so there is business potential that we can serve. Hence, we are here to provide solutions to hospitals through SKIPO, which is a software that helps manage and simplify queues, especially for outpatients, and helps hospitals in digitizing patient medical records. In addition to completing solutions, the value offered is to increase patient satisfaction with the ease and convenience to queue through patient mobile apps. It can also increase the competitive advantage of the hospital. In addition, in terms of the patients surveyed, patients were interested in queuing applications which enable patients to queue anywhere and anytime. In result, this business has the potential to be accepted by society. With SKIPO, patients know clearly the estimation of waiting / queuing for treatment without having to be present to wait in the hospital waiting room. Thus, this mobile application provides a solution to the problems experienced by patients, namely the inconvenience of information asymmetry estimates of the time patients have to wait. The solution can be a value offered by SKIPO. The magnitude of the business potential, if implemented, can be calculated with the assumption that there are 50 to 100 hospitals that are willing to buy with a monthly subscription system that has a price of Rp 2,547,000 to Rp 9,000,000. Potential is measured with a minimum income of Rp 254,700,000 per month and a maximum of Rp 900,000,000 from the hospital subscription fee. In addition, there is the potential to benefit from the costs charged to patients for each treatment, ranging from Rp 700 to Rp 1,200 or in other words a minimum income of Rp 420,000,000 per month to Rp 720,000,000 per month. So that the minimum overall potential income is a minimum of Rp 445,470,000 to Rp 1,620,000,000 per month. When observed with the development of the industry data since 2012 until now, it indicates an increase in the number of hospitals in Indonesia by 5.25%. From 2,083 hospitals to 2,820 hospitals or slightly higher than the GDP growth rate in Indonesia in 2019 which is 5.02%. This shows that the need for health services in Indonesia is very high which will also enlarge the business potential. It has been projected that this business will be able to grow and develop 30% with the right business strategy implemented by the marketing, operational, human resources and financial divisions. The potential income can be obtained only by investing capital of Rp 7,500,000,000, which is invested once in the five-year lifespan. The dividend amount to be distributed according to our policy is 50% in the second year, and 70% for the following next year. This dividend can be distributed because it has been projected that this business is able to have a payback period for 4 years, with a positive NPV value of Rp 10,834,527,534 and high IRR of 37.49%.
