Abstract
Departing from the high public enthusiasm regarding the current Korean trend since the last 10 years, as well as the high consumption of snacks in Indonesia, the company decided to make a snack product named Hanka Chips. This product is a snack product in the form of premium cassava chips combined with Korean flavors that have never existed in Indonesia, such as flavor bulgogi and korean fried chicken. In the future, there will be a taste development from Hanka Chips. Hanka Chips has 3 main values. Firstly, Hanka Chips offers Korean flavored cassava chips that give the experience of consuming cassava chips with different flavors than before. Secondly, Hanka Chips also provides powdered condiments on the product. Then finally, Hanka Chips uses quality materials that are packaged in an attractive way to give consumers a premium impression. Hanka Chips is targeting Korean enthusiasts within the 16-24 year age range, with monthly spending levels reaching Rp3,000,000.00 – Rp5,000,000.00, belonging to the upper middle class grouping in social economic class grouping in Indonesia. Hanka Chips strategy is implemented by personal approach to the target market and also continue to improve the quality of the product to such as import quality both in terms of packaging and product content. To achieve that, the group also follows events that have Korean nuance, create Korean-themed marketing content, and also support the improvement of product quality to give the impression of import product. From the marketing side, Hanka Chips uses online and offline media. In online, we use social media and e-commerce for making sales. In offline, Hanka Chips uses personal selling, reseller, bazaar and do consignment.
