CORGANIC: Kemasan Makanan Eco-Friendly Berbahan Dasar Bioplastik

Inspired by observing environmental and health problems in Jakarta and many major cities in Indonesia related to food packaging waste, we are planning to produce “CORGANIC”, an environmentally-friendly food packaging that offers zero chemical contamination towards the food that stored inside it. This will be a new feature of food packaging that other conventional packaging (plastic, styrene, paper) cannot offer. CORGANIC will be produced using a regular manufacturing process called “plasticized food package”. This process involves the insertion of the raw material (made from modified corn flour) into molding by “injection molding” technique to reach the final form of the Biodegradable Plastic product. CORGANIC will be marketed in Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, Depok, and Bekasi in the next five years. The structured distribution channel will be used to reach Foodservice business players throughout Jabodetabek and the surrounding area. CORGANIC will require IDR 17,522,692,050 in funding. The investment will be funded 80% from the founders and the other 20% will be funded from external investors in favor of 20% stake in our company. The majority of the investment will go through acquiring production facility as we will be the first company in Indonesia to produce Biodegradable plastic locally. We project first-year revenue of IDR 19,983,600,000 with a net income of IDR 5,048,275,875. The Internal Rate-of-return is projected to reach 30%, a solid 50% premium towards the cost of capital of 20%. CORGANIC will offer foodservice industry with a new kind of packaging that will benefit both business profitability and the customers’ concern regarding the environmental and health problems. We aim to disrupt the current food packaging industry market to become the game changer in Indonesia’s food packaging industry.
