Abstract
Paikea is a company that moves in the field of automotive where Paikea focusing on produce the accessories for the interior of the car to enhance the convenience of users. Besides producing, Paikea also do the designing part for the accessories for the interior of the car and keep continue to innovate in creating product that might improve the convenience of the car. The author’s reason chose the field of automotive is based on articles found on greenlifestyle.or.id which the level of private vehicle users reached 98,6%. Until October 2014, private cars in indonesia is dominated by a combination of multi purpose vehicle (MPV) and city car around 55%, then followed by truck with 12.1 %. The percentage of private vehicles which consisted of MPV and city car make the author optimistic that the market for car accessories is still wide open. For initial capital, Paikea needs Rp 10.000.000. The first product offered by Paikea was Portage (Portable Baggage) which is a car organizer which meant to the trunk of the car. The beginning of the creation of this product is because the author saw a problem in big cities like Jabodetabek where there are many people who have high mobility with private vehicles, especially cars. The problems found by people at the above is neatness in their cars being abandoned due to their activity which is too dense to do whereas neatness is an important thing. Because it abandoned, they have to sacrifice other things such as additional time and energy to find their lost goods in the trunk. It can be minimized by various media storage sold by variety of producers. But from that various producers, there is none of them can answer the needs of consumers who need a storage that can improve neatness in their cars. Therefore, Paikea Portage comes with various features to solve this problem by providing a storage in accordance with the needs of each user so that is quite different from the existing car organizer. Paikea Portage is sized to fit the trunk of each car so as not moving when the car is running like a car organizer in general. And then there is also a flexible divider which can be suit to the needs of each user, and the top cover of the car organizer so that users can put more stuff on it so it can be two levels. In addition, Paikea Portage also can be carried like a bag that can also be brought down from the car, such as for carrier when go to the market place and to be washed. Target consumers of Paikea Portage itself is the car users who have the age range 18-35 years. Otherwise, the job of author’s target consumers are young executives who have high mobility. Because of their work, they tend to assume the car as their "second home" so that the young executives tend to put a lot of stuff in the car. Therefore, the amount of goods carried must be arranged neatly with not require a lot of time so this is where Paikea Portage comes to be the solution.
