Abstract
VASKA was founded in 2013 and started as final project at our university. We dedicate ourselves in designing handbags for young women who are tied in busy schedules. Our vision is to be a World Class Fashion Company. VASKA develops handbags that ease women’s daily life such as studying and working. Presently, our products are in the start-up stage. It competes primarily based on the compartment that we design specifically to put women’s belonging in orders. Our future plans include developing brand awareness in the first year, followed by launching official stores in the following years. In the mean time, VASKA will join bazaars from event organizers. We define our market as young women’s daily bags. The total handbag’s market size was approximately Rp 3.740.000.000.000 (three trillion seven hundred forty billion rupiah) last year and is expected to grow by 3.6% annually. We compete directly with Charles and Keith and Longchamp. Alternatives to our products include clutches, wristlets, and top handle bag. Our product is unique because we improvise the bag’s compartment, makes it easier for women to organize their belongings. It is also easy to be cleaned as the compartment can be taken out. We have a competitive advantage because of our speed in product launching. Our generic strategy is differentiation because we offer many designs in just a short period and enhance compartments to simplify women’s belonging. This year, we are outsourcing our manufacturing due to limited capital. By next year, we are going to start manufacturing by having our own in-house manufacturing and our products will be distributed nationally. We projected sales to reach Rp 24 billion, earn net profit of Rp 3.5 billion and we will sell 35.000 units by the end of 2019. We develop ourselves only with equity so we expect to have ROA and ROE of 36%, and ROI of 460%. Our projected return is expected to be increased from 18%-28%, which is higher than the discount rate. We are currently seeking Rp 450.000.000, which will enable us to expand our market size by opening VASKA’s official stores. We expect to provide an exit within 5 years and give growing dividend from 1%-5% from total net income and open stock to public offering. VASKA has key success factors, that is the harmony of every division in VASKA to achieve our competitive advantage. Starts from research to get the quality dimension of market needs, operation division who responsible of quality, standard, design and production time, up to marketing division who responsible for building brand awareness. With the support of finance division who responsible for managing asset, liabilities, capital as well as human resource division who responsible for compensation and bonus, to reach company targets.
