Abstract
Beef is one of the foodstuffs that is favoured by the world’s population, including Indonesian people. However, in the present, Indonesian consumers still have a difficulty to know the distribution history of the beef cuts and the guarantee of the
beef quality such as sanitation and halal value. In this research, the beef traceability system named BEEFEY, is developed in the form of website and can be digitally accessed by the supply chain actors and the consumers to get beef history per cattle.
Some of the website’s features for supply chain actors are login system, user account and dashboard. For consumers, the website can only be used to find beef history by inputting the cattle ID. Moreover, BEEFEY also provides QR code to facilitate the consumers to obtain the beef history easily. The QR code stores the website URL along with the cattle ID and will be printed by supermarket. Not only the QR code, but also the beef ID will be printed as an alternative for consumers if they are unable to scan the QR code.
