Abstract
TemaniDampingi is a company operating in the health education services related to heart and vascular diseases. This service aims to provide reliable information about diseases and treatment options in detail, thus aiding patients in deciding the next medical steps to take. Consequently, it is expected that patients feel involved in choosing their treatments, thereby enhancing the outcomes of the treatments more effectively and efficiently, while avoiding unnecessary actions and treatments.
TemaniDampingi employs a business model entirely different from the teleconsultation services currently available in the market. In practice, a patient who has just been diagnosed with a heart or vascular disease by a cardiologist, and who has various questions about the upcoming medical procedures, is advised by their cardiologist to use the TemaniDampingi service by scanning a barcode available in the cardiologist's office. Subsequently, the patient connects with the TemaniDampingi app to register and schedule a consultation session via video call. During this session, which lasts up to 30 minutes, the patient undergoes education about the disease, its progression, and available treatment options, including those recommended by the doctor. The outcome of this consultation session is that the patient is expected to return to their cardiologist to choose the appropriate medical action. In the TemaniDampingi educational session, patients may also receive offers for healthy catering and referrals to clinical laboratories before meeting with their cardiologist again. This application does not feature drug purchasing to emphasize that our focus is on education and not treatment.
Given its business model, competition in the market, and projected sales for the next five years, the TemaniDampingi service is considered viable for launch. Some of the business feasibility parameters for TemaniDampingi include a Net Present Value (NPV) of IDR 9,911,600,000, an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 54%, and a discounted Payback Period (PBP) of 2 years and 9 months.
