Abstract

Cash shortfall merupakan fenomena ketika perusahaan memiliki ekspektasi akan kekurangan kas di masa depan sehingga membutuhkan dana tambahan yang dapat diperoleh melalui IPO. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak cash shortfall terhadap kinerja operasional perusahaan yang IPO di Indonesia. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 133 perusahaan yang melakukan IPO dari tahun 2011-2018. Penulis menggunakan metode repeated cross-sectional regression dengan variabel dependen berupa gross profit margin dan variabel independen berupa cash shortfall. Variabel kontrol untuk mengetahui kondisi internal perusahaan berupa DAR, TATO, Firm Size, dan dummy krisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara langsung cash shortfall memberikan pengaruh penurunan kinerja operasional perusahaan dan secara tidak langsung ukuran perusahaan menjadi mediasi dampak cash shortfall terhadap kinerja operasional.
