Abstract
This business plan presents an analysis of solar dryer dome as an innovative solution for Indonesian coffee farmers to improve the quality and efficiency of their coffee drying process. It describes the benefits of using solar dryer dome, the potential market for this technology, potential challenges, and solutions for adoption.
Indonesia is one of the largest coffee producers in the world, but coffee farmers in this country face several challenges, including erratic weather conditions and limited space for drying. These challenges can lead to low coffee quality and low profits for farmers.
The traditional way of drying coffee beans in the sun is time-consuming and requires a lot of space and effort. Solar dryer dome offers a solution to this problem by using solar energy to dry coffee beans efficiently and quickly while reducing the risk of spoilage from moisture and rain. This innovative solution allows for the rapid and efficient drying of coffee beans, significantly reducing the time required for this crucial stage in coffee production. And by relying on renewable solar energy, it minimizes the carbon footprint associated with conventional drying methods, contributing to a greener and more sustainable approach to coffee production.
This business plan finds that a solar dryer dome offers a solution to this challenge by providing a controlled environment for drying coffee beans and reducing reliance on unpredictable weather conditions. These solar dryer domes offer more than a green initiative, they ensure continuous monitor and control of the optimal conditions for drying coffee beans. The drying phase for coffee beanss is considered critical as the beans are sensitive and prone to harmful factors during that period.
Solar dryer dome offers not only protection but contribution to minimize Postharvest loss that potentially disrupt supply chain.
This business plan report identifies several potential markets for solar dryer dome technology, including small coffee farmers, coffee cooperatives, and large coffee growers. There is an importance to first build awareness and relay a critical message that solar dryer domes implemented with artificial intelligence is accessible and beneficial. Marketing activities will have online and offline efforts. Offline includes direct selling and distribution channels with brand images and message, while online efforts will include social media, website, and online community about coffee plantation with the help of technology. This technology could benefit both domestic and international coffee markets as demand for high-quality, sustainably produced coffee increases.
Overall, this business plan concludes that a solar dryer dome is a promising solution for coffee farmers in Indonesia to improve the quality and efficiency of the coffee drying process while contributing to environmental sustainability. In finance, as it shows, Green Goblin uses NPV at its equity value based on the going concern value assumption, which means that the business will be considered to remain ongoing for the foreseeable future. Green Goblin’s initial capital is 10 billion rupiahs, mobilized from 4 founders. The NPV forecast of 2.8 billion is optimal and attractive for investors. Finally, it can be concluded from the calculations that Green Goblin has potential growth with expectant 30% dividend payout ratio for investors every year.
