Abstract
Bioactive peptides have activities that are beneficial in disease prevention. One of the activities that bioactive peptides can express is the inhibition of ACE. ACE is an enzyme that plays a major role in regulating blood pressure. Spirulina platensis has a great potential for producing bioactive peptides due to its high protein content. This study aims to discover ACE inhibitor bioactive peptides from RuBisCO, HSP 70, ATP synthase subunit beta, and 50s ribosomal protein in Spirulina platensis. The prediction of bioactive peptide, enzyme hydrolysis, ADMET analysis, molecular docking, reactivity analysis, and gene enrichment analysis is conducted using the in silico method. Findings from this study demonstrate that the bioactive peptides present in Spirulina platensis are comparable to those in Glycine max. The superior ACE inhibitor bioactive peptides identified are AF, FG, FGG, FP, NF, and YG. FG, FGG, and YG are yielded from single enzyme thermolysin hydrolysis. Whereas AF and NF can be produced using single enzyme proteinase K hydrolysis. The superior bioactive peptides have the best theoretical value for ACE inhibition and antioxidant activities to prevent hypertension. ACE inhibitor is also anti inflammatory. Pooled genes from Spirulina platensis are related to anti inflammation. Target gene CD83 pooled from Spirulina platensis expresses a significant role in the resolution of an inflammatory process
