Abstract
This research is based on the need to confirm past findings concerning the relationship between motivation towards intention to volunteer in similar events through the mediation of experience and satisfaction, in the context of Indonesian society. This research will open up opportunities to develop the fairly under researched concept. The result of this research can be taken as insight for industry practitioners to develop better volunteer programs that can support engagement, loyalty and retention of volunteers to their event, organization and industry This research benchmarked the model developed by Giannoulakis et al. (2015) concerning the relationship between variables. The model is a pioneer in research concerning the variable “experience” as mediator to connect motivation and satisfaction. This research adopts his model and developed a new variable “intention to volunteer in similar events”, with reference from Hallman and Harms (2011), to better direct the model towards more practical implications. The research method is quantitative, with Likert scaled - online questionnaire as instrument. The sample used are any person who has volunteered in music festivals in the area of Jabodetabek. The target sample is 100 - 200 respondents. This research used structural equation modelling (SEM) to test the hypotheses.
