Abstract
The development of the sport event industry in Indonesia is progressing very rapidly. The emergence of sports tourism activities can be developed to improve the tourism industry in Indonesia. Harian Kompas is one of the actors in the sporting event industry with the event product named Kompas Tambora Challenge as the longest and most extreme event in Indonesia with 62 hours cut off time and a distance of 320k. This Improvement Project aims to analyze the Kompas Tambora Challenge event in 2019 using a conceptual event management approach and using the Six Sigma DMAIC method. Based on the findings of the researchers, the priority problem of the Kompas Tambora Challenge 2019 is the decline in sales and revenue which has an impact on the entire implementation so that it becomes less than optimal. With these priority problems researchers will develop strategies to increase sales sponsorship to increase revenue.
