Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji hubungan antara Karakteristik CEO dan Kinerja ESG. Menggunakan sampel perusahaan Indonesia yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) periode 2017-2021. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan membatasi jumlah perusahaan yang diteliti dengan hanya meneliti perusahaan yang memiliki hasil penilaian ESG berdasarkan data Bloomberg dan mengeliminasi perusahaan keuangan. Kami menemukan bahwa 77 perusahaan memiliki penilaian ESG lengkap selama periode 5 tahun. Kami menemukan bahwa masa jabatan CEO dan usia CEO memiliki hubungan positif yang signifikan terhadap kinerja ESG. Latar belakang pendidikan CEO dan jenis kelamin CEO tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan kinerja ESG. Studi ini berkontribusi pada literatur dengan menyediakan bukti baru terkait hubungan masa jabatan CEO dan usia CEO terhadap kinerja ESG.
