Abstract
Writers realized that society’s lifestyle becomes healthier. Increasing number of healthy events and gyms prove the writer’s conclusion. Moreover, products having healthy value attract more consumers’ buying power (Euromonitor International, 2014). Chick ‘n Grill is a start-up company which thrives in healthy fast food industry. Chick ‘n Grill started its efforts in building the business by doing qualitative and quantitative researches. From those researches, the company found out consumers’ reasons to implement healthy lifestyle, consumers’ preferences on healthy food, and consumers’ behaviors on food spending. These results were used by the company to invent a product that answers consumers’ needs. After inventing such product, Chick ‘n Grill created its vision, mission, and targets, so managers can formulate the right strategy and planning. The planning includes operation, human resources, marketing, and finance. Implementing the plans, Chick ‘n Grill launched the product in early May 2015 at PMSBE canteen. In a quarter, the startup earned experiences during the plan implementation. Furthermore, there are gaps between the plan and the realization. Those gaps and lessons learnt were used by the functional managers to renew their future strategies and plans.
