Abstract

Fish Leather is a genuine leather, which comes from the tanning processing of fish skin. This leather will become a better alternative for the leather goods producers since the fish leather is an exotic leather with very unique textures. In Indonesia, the demand for genuine leather is growing fast, following the leather goods development, especially the shoes industries. However the supply of the genuine leather is much lower than the demand growth, because the raw materials problem, especially for the cow, lamb and goat skin. PT. Indo Wira Bahari (PT. IWB) is established in responding the demand gap in this industry. The company will produce high quality fish leather, which is processed by environment friendly technology. It will provide a good value for the customers due to the improvement of people awareness for environment sustainability. PT. IWB generic strategy in the market is focus differentiation. The sustainable competitive advantage is the leather texture and the innovative product variances. Some important operation strategy ensures the raw material quality and price by generating mutual contract with strategic suppliers and optimizing the production batch to get the best possible cost. The marketing strategy is shortened the supply chain by selling the products direct to the retail customers. Based on the feasibility study, with the initial investment of Rp 6.000.000.000 the business plan is feasible with the following Net Present Value, Modified Internal Rate of Return and Payback Period : Criteria Share Holders Value Net Present Value Modified Internal Rate of Return Payback Period (years) 7,023,993,329 39% 2.6 Refer to the above business plan strategy with high capability and integrity of Management Team, PT IWB believes that this business plan is very good for investors, who expect for sustainable growth and long term profit.
