Kepemilikan Asing, Tata Kelola Perusahaan, dan Kinerja Bank di Indonesia: Menggunakan ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard sebagai Indeks Tata Kelola

There are some efforts of improving corporate governance in various countries in Asia, including Indonesia. Indonesian banking industry dominates the county’s financial system; therefore the quality of corporate governance is important to reflect bank ’s reputation. This research was conducted using secondary data of 20 largest banks in Indonesia, based on market capitalization 2012 with the period of 2012-2014. The data was analyzed using Generalized Least Square with Random Effect Model. The corporate governance quality measured by the score of ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) due to facing ASEAN Economic Community in 2015 and the bank ownership divided into foreign and domestic. The result showed that the means of ACGS of the samples are above 70 in each of the year, thus each year the mean showed improvement. In Indonesian banking industry there was no significant relation between corporate governance quality and bank performance (Tobin’s Q, RoA, and RoE). Bank Ownership was also insignificantly affect bank performance.
