Abstract
Mangara Studio is a business which engages in photography industry. Providing solutions for business commercial activities which create a beautiful and magnificent visualization of products that could enhance the attractiveness of the customers’ products, is the main purpose of our presence. The competitive advantage of Mangara Studio is the convenience in finding talented photographer, makeup artist, model and stylist in one society. All of the integrated parties are supporting our commercial photography activities. Mangara Studio offers a package which consist of 15 photo frames, basic editing, and all of the involved photography parties. The main reason to establish the business refers to the significance of photography industry growth in Indonesia. Nowadays, photography is considered not only as a trend and a part of communities’ lifestyle, but also for business owners who want to provide their attractive visualization product through customers perspectives. This phenomenon is also supported by the increasing numbers of small and medium enterprise which have reached 55.2 million unit in 2013 (Syarief Hasan) in Indonesia. Those number provides a great impact in decreasing the poverty level in Indonesia up to 11.37% (BPS Indonesia). Moreover, passion, knowledge, networks and entrepreneurial capital are our main considerations which convince management to establish Mangara Studio. In order to compete with the current existing competitors in the photography industry, Mangara Studio should have its own competitive advantages. Connecting and organizing all of the related parties in implementing commercial photography activities, are our main differentiations. We define ourselves as One Stop Commercial Photography Solution. Mangara Studio opened on 2 April 2014, at Jl. Sisingamangaraja No. 43, South Jakarta. In the first year, Mangara Studio will be focus to implement market penetration strategy to educate the market. The main purpose of implementing this strategy is to create awareness and obtain a large number of market share. By the following years, Mangara Studio will be focus on product development to expand our market and bring more additional value for the customers who entrust our service, and avoid the occurrence of market saturation. In establishing the business, the owner of Mangara Studio gives an initial investment of Rp 90.000.000,00 with 49.93% of ROI, with the net income target in the first year is Rp 26.625.580,00 with 2 years payback period, and with Rp 1.057.428.478,10 as the 5 years NPV and 174% of IRR.
